Latest addition to my Bear collection. "Black Bear" 45@28, nice little bow. You can tell that bear was trying to make a bow for ever price point. Because the this bow doesn't have the woods like the grizzly or Kodiak models; also no reinforced tips.
Needless to say I've had a great year building up my collection this year.
PS....got this bow for 2 case of beer
Took the bow out for a walk the other day. I was hoping to sneak up on some rabbits and put one or two in the freezer. Things didn't really work out as I wanted them too, but it was a good time out. The rabbits were holding tight, lots of new cover for them this year. And this place really gets hit from the rabbit hunters with dogs. You may be able to tell by the pictures that a dog is necessary or at least another hunter?
The weather was really nice, sunny and crisp; just the way I like it. Apparently as I've gotten older the cold and I don't get along. That's OK though, I guess it happens to a lot of people.
I did manage to get a couple shots at some squirrels. Just couldn't connect with the fuzzy little suckers.
Maybe next time....
I knew my air rifle wasn't shooting the best and I had sneaking feeling it was the pellets. I had done everything I could have possibly done and it always ended in the same way. Shitty and inconsistent groups, but after purchasing these JSB Monsters I finally got a good group. Below is my first decent group. This was shot from 20 yards. Let hope it continues once I get into field.
