I decided to get a cross bow this year. This was a tough venture to get into for me. Being brought up as a bow hunter, the idea of using a cross bow was a sort of taboo.
I decided to go for out of respect for the animals I hunt. My work schedule was so time consuming that I had no time to practice. So with no practice, my confidence level was very low. I needed some to get me back out there with a minimal learning curve.
So I headed to the local shop and picked up an inexpensive model the Barnett "Recruit". For a touch over $250 for everything I couldn't go wrong.
Ten minutes ofsighting it in and I was ready to go. Second time out I was able to fill my tag and put some meat in the freezer.
